We use a variety of instruments during worship. In every service we use the organ and piano. We use a brass ensemble for special occasions such as Homecoming and Easter, and we use a string ensemble during the year, as well. We have also used a small orchestra for special events during Christmas. A number of members at the church play musical instruments ranging from strings and wood wind to percussion and voice.

Preschool Choir
This choir consist of children ages 2-5. We at First Baptist Church feel that it is important to introduce children in our church to music at an early age. The musical content is mainly children's Christian songs. This choir usually sings in worship once a quarter.

Young Disciples
This choir consists of children grades 1-6. Again, children learning music in the church is vital to spiritual growth. The Young Disciples use traditional and contemporary music in worship once a quarter and give a more lengthy program at Christmas.

Sanctuary Choir
A mixed ensemble in both voice and age. Ranging from youth to senior adults. The Sanctuary Choir is the primary choir for worship, providing anthems, responses, offertories, calls to worship, and benedictions. We also prepare a Christmas musical during the fall months. Using a wide variety of musical content and talent this choir is a great ministry and worship tool!

Senior Adult Choir
Made up of our members 55 and over this choir provides music throughout the year and presents their own musical in May. The music is concentrated on older hymns and arrangements not found in our current hymnals.

Handbell Choir
Enjoy music?  Want to help worship Christ through a creative outlet?  Come be a part of the FBC Handbell Choir!  This choir is made up of all ages in the church - kids to adults.  We meet every Sunday night from 7-8 PM.
